About Cambridge
Cambridge is a pretty university town with a history stretching back to pre-Roman times. The city is about 50 miles (80 Km) north of London from which it has excellent access by public transport (e.g. 45 minutes by regular express train) and by private vehicle.
Stansted (27 miles / 43 Km) and Luton (44 miles / 71 Km) airports are both close by, and are served by low-cost airlines from many European airports. Visitors may also arrive at Heathrow or Gatwick airports, which are further away, but still readily accessible by public transportation.
